Kiri LangfordMental Performance, Strength & Conditioning

Kiri grew up in Blue Mountain, playing various sports, but playing hockey was always her passion. Kiri played competitively for the York Lions Ice Hockey Team (2010-2015) and the New Zealand National Women’s Hockey Team (2008-2014), winning Gold and Silver Medals with Team New Zealand as a player and Bronze as a coach.

In 2016, Kiri completed her Masters in Strength & Conditioning (S&C) from LIT-Limerick Institute of Technology in Ireland. She started at Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) in 2017, working with different Ontario and National sports (Softball, Archery, Equestrian, Ice hockey, beach volleyball, Freestyle Ski, Water polo, Artistic Swimming and Wheelchair Rugby).

In December 2021, Kiri finished the Human Kinetics Masters with a Concentration in Intervention and Consultation at the University of Ottawa, preparing her to be a Mental Performance Constant (MPC).

Sarah and the team at ALC have played a vital role in Kiri’s fitness throughout the years as she trailed with them through her youth hockey career. Kiri is excited to interact with young athletes of any sport and teach them what she wishes she would have known at their age!
