Guacamole

Avocados are a satisfying and nutritious food. Did you know that avocados have more pottasium than bananas? Pottasium is a nutrient that plays an important role in muscle strength, metabolism, water balance, electrolytic functions, and the nervous system.

This dip can be served with vegetables or rolled in a nori sheet with cucumber, tomatoes, sprouts and other grated veggies.  Or try a raw burrito:  add a big spoonful of guacamole into individual romaine or leaf lettuce leaves, adding other veggies like sprouts, grated carrots, slivered cucumber, etc., roll lengthwise, and enjoy!

Ingredients

3 ripe avocados (2 cups mashed)

2 cloves garlic, crushed

4 Tbsp. lemon juice or lime juice

1 tsp. sea salt or Herbamare

2 Tbsp. minced chopped fresh sweet onion or green onion (optional)

For a chunkier version add chopped peppers or tomato.
