Guacamole
Avocados are a satisfying and nutritious food. Did you know that avocados have more pottasium than bananas? Pottasium is a nutrient that plays an important role in muscle strength, metabolism, water balance, electrolytic functions, and the nervous system. This dip can be served with vegetables or rolled in a nori sheet with cucumber, tomatoes, sprouts and other grated veggies. Or try a raw burrito: add a big spoonful of guacamole into individual romaine or leaf lettuce leaves, adding other veggies like sprouts, grated carrots, slivered cucumber, etc., roll lengthwise, and enjoy! Ingredients 3 ripe avocados (2 cups mashed) 2 cloves garlic, crushed 4 Tbsp. lemon juice or lime juice 1 tsp. sea salt or Herbamare 2 Tbsp. minced chopped fresh sweet onion or green onion (optional) 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro For a chunkier version add chopped peppers or tomato. |
